Every 25 sec one person is killed on roads due to traffic and road related conditions according to WHOs report. In addition, only potholes cost around $6.4 billion every year to american drivers. These facts raise the need of working toward social awareness about quality of roads being used and providing solutions leading to more comfortable and safe rides.
Roadin is developed based on science of mechanics and data analysis mixed with social awareness and participation to determine road and ride qualities and help on selecting safer routes for travelers. The app shows the quality of roads graphically and notify you when getting close to dangerous road conditions; in lieu, you help collecting more and more data to be shown on map.

- Let users post messages on the map to inform others about road conditions
*Using GPS on background significantly affects battery lifetime. Roadin turns off monitoring when your speed is under 10 miles per hour to optimize your battery life while getting useful information from Roadin.
